MONTREAL, CANADA. El I Festival de Cine Dominicano en Montreal, ofreció a casa llena y durante tres días, del 14 al 17 de junio, siete películas dominicanas, entre las cuales Colao de Frank Perozo, se llevó el Premio del publico.
Las películas La Familia Reyna, Flor de azúcar, Sambá, Todos los hombres son iguales, Reinbou y Loki 7, fueron exhibidas a casa llena, según noticias enviadas por los organizadores.
El evento fue organizado por Cine Art Entertainment Productions, en colaboración con la Fundación Unidos por Nuestro País y el respaldo de la Dirección General de Cine de la República Dominicana y el Ministerio de Turismo.
El Premio del Público a Colao se realizó mediante votaciones directas del publico en las salas de cine. Su votación fue aplastante, dijo Armando Guareño, director general del evento. Guareño dijo que el propósito es repetir el Festival en Canadá cada año.
“Nos ha complacido el masivo apoyo de nuestra audiencia, los cuales se han dieron cita en familia desde el primer día, abarrotando las salas a capacidad y asistiendo a cada una de las películas exhibidas” afirmó.
“Sin duda alguna que nuestra industria del cine está cada vez más presente en diferentes latitudes del planeta. Muchas gracias Montreal, ya estaremos trabajando para una segunda entrega que estamos seguros, será igual o mejor” dijo Guareño.
