Nomadland, seleccionada como Mejor película (Fuente externa)

El domingo, la XXVI edición de los Critics Choice Awards organizada por Taye Diggs se llevó a cabo en un escenario virtual y en persona con Nomadland y The Crown llevándose numerosos premios.

Nomadland se alzó con el premio a la Mejor Película, mientras que la cineasta Chloe Zhao -envuelta en una costosa controversia en su país de origen, China- se llevó los trofeos a Mejor Director y Mejor Guión Adaptado. Zhao ha sido renegada por los suyos, que de paso han sacado la película de cartelera, perdiendo así el mercado internacional quizás más importante para el filme.

The Crown de Netflix sigue con su buena racha. Gillian Anderson ganó como Mejor Actriz de Reparto por Drama por su papel como Margaret Thatcher. Mientras tanto, Josh O’Connor y Emma Corrin ganaron por Mejor Actor y Actriz en una Serie Dramática, respectivamente.

Para muchos, los Critics Choice Awards fueron más inclusivos que los Globos de Oro con sus ganadores, y nominados.

Netflix lideró el grupo de estudios / redes con 14 victorias, seguido de Amazon Studios y Searchlight Pictures con cuatro y Apple TV + con 3.
