Haydée comenzó los estudios de música a los 6 años en el Conservatorio de Música Manuel Saumell de La Habana, donde se inicia en la especialidad de piano, y luego continuó en la de dirección coral. Se graduó en la especialidad de asignaturas teórico-musicales en el Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán.
A partir de 1999, forma parte del Cuarteto del prestigioso pianista Ernán López-Nussa. En el año 2000, participa junto al Cuarteto en el “Heineken festival”, de Sao Paulo, Brasil; donde grabó el disco From Havana to Rio (Velas), ganador del premio Cubadisco.
