Donar sangre y salvar vidas es el propósito fundamental de los miembros del Club de Donantes de Grupo Humano, quienes a propósito de que el próximo 14 de junio se conmemora el día mundial del donante de sangre, realizaron su séptima jornada de donación con un recaudo de 26 unidades de hemoderivados.
La jornada dio respuesta a un llamado del banco de sangre de Laboratorios de Referencia, que busca personas sensibles y dispuestas a donar; en adición, buscan educar a la población en general eliminando diversos mitos que existen en torno a este gesto altruista que salva muchas vidas.
“Donar sangre es acto de amor al prójimo” expresó la doctora Jorgelina Durán, gerente de atención primaria de Humano, quién tuvo a su cargo la coordinación de la jornada en la que participaron varios voluntarios de la empresa, que agotaron una serie de procesos para que la donación resultase exitosa. Estas fases incluyeron: revisión de material informativo sobre el proceso de donación, evaluación médica de los donantes, donación y fase de recuperación y refrigerio.
El Club de Donantes de Humano cuenta con 1, 627 miembros, en toda la geografía nacional y está compuesto por colaboradores de la organización y sus dependientes. Desde su fundación en el 2015 el club ha recibido 2 reconocimientos del banco de sangre de Laboratorios de Referencia y ha aportado alrededor de 190 hemoderivados para diferentes situaciones de salud, donando a fundaciones aliadas al programa de responsabilidad social Humano de Corazón los hemoderivados que son solicitados y no usados por los beneficiarios iniciales.
